This Privacy Policy outlines how Light POS collects, uses, handles, and safeguards your information when utilizing our Point of Sale and Inventory management tools.

2. Information We Collect & Device Permissions

Light POS requests only the essential Android device permissions needed to function as an efficient, reliable point of sale application:

• Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA): Used exclusively for real-time barcode and QR code scanning to identify retail items and fast checkout. The camera feed is analyzed on-device in memory and is never recorded, stored, or sent to external servers.
• Network & Internet Access (INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to connect with your designated POS server, retrieve inventory, verify internet connectivity, and synchronize offline transactions.
• File & Storage Access: Used solely to generate, view, and save downloadable sales receipts, customer invoices, and CSV/PDF financial reports to your device.
• Business Information: Any store catalog details, product pricing, tax rates, and optional customer billing info entered by the operator are processed to facilitate sales transactions.

3. Offline Mode & Local Data Storage

When working offline, transactions and updated records are safely saved within your device's sandboxed local storage (IndexedDB & Cache). Once an active internet connection is detected, pending transactions are automatically and securely synchronized with your store's cloud database via HTTPS encryption.

4. Use of Data

We process your data strictly to deliver and improve POS functionality, including:

• Managing order checkout, inventory quantities, and transaction histories.
• Generating accurate receipts and business analytics.
• Ensuring encrypted data synchronization between terminals.

We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal or commercial business data to third parties or advertising brokers.

5. Security of Your Information

We apply industry-standard security safeguards. All data transfers between the mobile application and backend services are encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS). Data stored on your device is kept inside the Android application's secure sandbox environment.

6. User Data Deletion & Rights

You maintain full control over your business and personal data. You may request account deletion and removal of stored records at any time by contacting our support team at [email protected]. Requests are verified and processed within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
